　　1、进食特征：鼩鼱一天到晚总是忙个不停地吃，每天至少得吞进同自己体重一样重的食物。如果食物丰富，它甚至一天能吃下相当于自己体重3倍的食物，真是一个名副其实的大肚汉。

　　2、生存环境：鼩鼱地栖者居多，亦有半水栖或穴居者。昼夜活动或仅夜间活动，不冬眠，平时独栖。

　　3、攻击与防御：小鼩鼱的腭下长有唾液腺，能分泌出一种毒液。
